A Lot of Activities
Students had two successful weeks of swimming lessons at the YMCA, mini-field trips around the Sacramento River & Sundial Bridge, and upper graders biked the Sacramento River Trail loop while the lower graders beat the 3 mile challenge! We've been busy fitting in lots of reading, writing, and math with our outings.
This week, upper graders will Kayak on Whiskeytown Lake with Carol and Billie. Thursday, we will have Karate and Dance. Friday is the annual Oak Run Run. Mondays are the day that Kyoko, our Japanese intern, does Japanese studies with students. She teaches them some vocabulary, the alphabet, songs, origami, culture, and more. If you havn't meet Kyoko, come join us for a Japanese class or event.
Students have been safe, responsible, and respectful. We have had no major incidents or accidents, and the kids have been getting along with each other well. Summer is officially over now and I expect that the students this Autumn will be productive, excited, and busy learning a lot. If your interested in the Love and Logic seminar coming up, give us a call. Our efforts will all pay off.

Activities at FGWS
Students have been working hard, doing excellent work, and are getting lots of individual attention. Students are swimming on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the YMCA. Our video conference math / algebra class is working out really well. Students are enjoying dance and guitar... Good things are happening.
